Someone asked me if it was a moth&#8230;so I had to do some research and I think he is definitely a butterfly&#8230;..butterflies have a &#8220;hook&#8221; on the end of their antennae and when they are resting, they rest with their wings together, not spread out.\u00a0 And this little guy seems brightly colored, not dull.\u00a0 Now, supposedly, there are exceptions to these rules..but in general&#8230;.I think he is a butterfly.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/gargoyle:8011\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/2010-07-27b.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1216\" title=\"2010-07-27b\" src=\"http:\/\/gargoyle:8011\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/2010-07-27b.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"396\" srcset=\"https:\/\/catchick6creations.interiority.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/2010-07-27b.jpg 550w, https:\/\/catchick6creations.interiority.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/2010-07-27b-300x215.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 85vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you sit still, he will instantly land on you.\u00a0 Sometimes he has a friend with him, but mostly he seems to be by himself.\u00a0 He seems to come out around late afternoon and he hangs out until dusk.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/gargoyle:8011\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/2010-07-27c.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1217\" title=\"2010-07-27c\" src=\"http:\/\/gargoyle:8011\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/2010-07-27c.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"527\" srcset=\"https:\/\/catchick6creations.interiority.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/2010-07-27c.jpg 550w, https:\/\/catchick6creations.interiority.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/2010-07-27c-300x287.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 85vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>When he flies close to your ears, you can actually hear his wings fluttering&#8230;.pretty cool.<\/p>\n<p>River wants to have the butterfly land on her&#8230;&#8230;.at least she thinks she does&#8230;she sits still&#8230;and just as the butterfly is about to land&#8230;she runs away&#8230;&#8230;.I kept trying to get shots of the butterfly landing on her&#8230;but she kept moving away&#8230;&#8230;though she made a cute pose as she waited for the butterfly!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/gargoyle:8011\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/2010-07-27d.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1218\" title=\"2010-07-27d\" src=\"http:\/\/gargoyle:8011\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/2010-07-27d.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"375\" srcset=\"https:\/\/catchick6creations.interiority.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/2010-07-27d.jpg 550w, https:\/\/catchick6creations.interiority.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/2010-07-27d-300x204.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 85vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We have had a butterfly hanging out in our driveway for several months now.\u00a0 Whenever we are playing in the driveway..he (or she) is there&#8230;.fluttering about.
