{"id":564,"date":"2010-04-13T13:34:56","date_gmt":"2010-04-13T17:34:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gargoyle:8011\/?p=564"},"modified":"2010-04-13T21:18:12","modified_gmt":"2010-04-14T01:18:12","slug":"starry-night-officially-completedat-least-for-now","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/catchick6creations.interiority.org\/?p=564","title":{"rendered":"Starry Night officially completed&#8230;at least for now&#8230;."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/gargoyle:8011\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/2010-04-12a.jpg\" title=\"2010-04-12a.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/gargoyle:8011\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/2010-04-12a.jpg\" title=\"2010-04-12a.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/gargoyle:8011\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/2010-04-12a.jpg\" alt=\"2010-04-12a.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>No, I really am declaring it done&#8230;really.\u00a0 At least for now.\u00a0\u00a0 I have to&#8230;it has taken me about a year and a half to complete it.\u00a0 Some months I didn&#8217;t work on it at all&#8230;and others I seemed to never stop.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/gargoyle:8011\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/2010-04-12aa.jpg\" title=\"2010-04-12aa.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/gargoyle:8011\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/2010-04-12aa.jpg\" title=\"2010-04-12aa.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/gargoyle:8011\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/2010-04-12aa.jpg\" alt=\"2010-04-12aa.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I always loved the book &#8216;Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving by Dav Pilkey.\u00a0 It has been one of my favorites, especially since we are vegetarians. \u00a0 I loved this particular drawing and I always thought it would look great on a wall..a big wall&#8230;.so, I looked at our stairway going up&#8230;and figured it was the best wall.\u00a0 And I had been wondering how to paint this wall.\u00a0 It had been unpainted since we moved in four years ago.\u00a0 I never painted such a large mural before.\u00a0 First I decided on a base color and painted the entire wall that color. \u00a0 Then I started with the tree&#8230;I don&#8217;t know why, I just wanted it to be the central item.\u00a0 I figured this drawing was inspired by Starry Night and I love that particular painting..so it just evolved into my own interpretation of The Starry Night.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/gargoyle:8011\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/2010-04-12b.jpg\" title=\"2010-04-12b.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/gargoyle:8011\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/2010-04-12b.jpg\" title=\"2010-04-12b.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/gargoyle:8011\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/2010-04-12b.jpg\" alt=\"2010-04-12b.jpg\" height=\"769\" width=\"512\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It took a bit longer than I anticipated, but that was my own doing.\u00a0\u00a0 It was a lot of fun to watch it progress.\u00a0 I took a million photos of each stage..sometime I need to put them all together in a little montage or something&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/gargoyle:8011\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/2010-04-12d.jpg\" title=\"2010-04-12d.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/gargoyle:8011\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/2010-04-12d2.jpg\" title=\"2010-04-12d2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/gargoyle:8011\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/2010-04-12d2.jpg\" alt=\"2010-04-12d2.jpg\" height=\"740\" width=\"494\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now, I need to get onto the next mural project&#8230;. something I&#8217;ve been wanting to do for a long time in our living room.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/gargoyle:8011\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/2010-04-12e.jpg\" title=\"2010-04-12e.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/gargoyle:8011\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/2010-04-12e.jpg\" title=\"2010-04-12e.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/gargoyle:8011\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/2010-04-12e.jpg\" alt=\"2010-04-12e.jpg\" height=\"383\" width=\"592\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I will keep you posted on the progress of the next mural&#8230;&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>No, I really am declaring it done&#8230;really.\u00a0 At least for now.\u00a0\u00a0 I have to&#8230;it has taken me about a year and a half to complete it.\u00a0 Some months I didn&#8217;t work on it at all&#8230;and others I seemed to never stop.
